Annual Walter Kirchner Festival

Cowan Park Sportsplex – 895 Ridgewood Drive, Woodstock

The Walter Kirchner Festival is open to Boys and Girls teams from U8 to U12. This Festival will be a one day event. Teams will play 2 games.

In keeping with OSA’s A Guide to Festivals in Ontario, there are no scores and standings. Trophies will not be presented; however, all players may receive a memento of the Festival.

Team Eligibility:

The Festival is classified as Inter-District which means that teams from anywhere within the Province of Ontario are eligible to apply. All non EMSA teams will require a Travel Permit approved by their district association, which must be submitted to the Festival Host fourteen (14) days prior to the event – NO LATER THAN JUNE 5, 2020.

Teams will be accepted to play in the festival at the sole discretion of the Festival Committee.  Festival entry fee must be paid prior to acceptance into the tournament.  

Teams that withdraw their application after May 22, 2020 shall forfeit their entry fee

Team & Player Registration:

U8 (2012) teams may register up to ten (10) players.

U9 (2011) teams may register up to twelve (12) players.

U10(2010) teams may register up to twelve (12) players.

U11(2009) teams may register up to sixteen (16) players.

U12(2008) teams may register up to sixteen (16) players.                           

A completed Team Roster and any applicable Travel Permits must be emailed to wscadministrator@woodstocksoccer.com by June 5, 2020. Failure to submit will result in team not being included in the final schedules for the festival divisions. Please Note:

  • All teams will require player and coaches ID Cards/player books
  • Player and coaches ID cards/books will be checked and compared to the submitted player roster.
  • All player and coaches ID cards/books must be available for the duration of the Festival.
  • In the event of a dispute concerning player eligibility, the decision of the Festival Committee shall be final.
  • A minimum of 4 (four) teams is required to constitute a division.
  • Multiple divisions may be offered depending on registration.
